Life at Sirius

What’s on

Our Social Media Team loves keeping students and parents up to date with what is happening across our campuses.

Students recently attended an engaging excursion to the Old Melbourne Gaol to deepen their understanding of Victoria’s history. ⛓️📚

During the visit, they explored the historic site, which operated as a prison from 1845 to 1924 and housed over 50,000 prisoners. Students gained insight into daily life behind bars, including routines, rules, and living conditions.

They also learned about significant figures such as Ned Kelly, hearing real-life stories that brought the past to life. A meaningful hands-on experience that strengthened their connection to classroom learning. ✨

Our Artisan Crafters at DLC have been busy designing and creating their final projects: handmade avocado key rings! 🥑✨

Each key ring was carefully crafted with creativity, patience, and attention to detail. We are so proud of the effort our students put into bringing their ideas to life and creating such beautiful pieces.

We hope you enjoy seeing their creations as much as we enjoyed watching them come together! 🧵

Our Foundation students had a fantastic time during their recent team-building incursion, engaging in collaborative challenges and creative problem-solving activities. 🌟

It was wonderful to see our youngest learners developing communication skills, working together, and supporting one another in such a fun and hands-on environment. 🤝✨

The highlight of the day was watching students cheer each other on — a true reflection of teamwork and positive school spirit! 💛

Students visited the National Gallery of Victoria to experience the Top Arts exhibition, gaining insight into outstanding student work and creative expression. 🎨✨

They also attended a seminar exploring artist folios and creative processes, building valuable knowledge to support their own artmaking journey.

A truly inspiring experience that encouraged creativity, reflection, and new ideas for their own folios. 🌟
