Students recently attended an engaging excursion to the Old Melbourne Gaol to deepen their understanding of Victoria’s history. ⛓️📚
During the visit, they explored the historic site, which operated as a prison from 1845 to 1924 and housed over 50,000 prisoners. Students gained …insight into daily life behind bars, including routines, rules, and living conditions.
They also learned about significant figures such as Ned Kelly, hearing real-life stories that brought the past to life. A meaningful hands-on experience that strengthened their connection to classroom learning. ✨
